FAQ

How agents, message caps, payments and API keys work.
What counts as a message?
Each message your app, website chat or channel sends to an agent uses one message credit. Every plan includes a fixed number of messages per month.
What happens when I hit my monthly cap?
The agent pauses until your next period starts or you renew. We don't charge overage, so there are no surprise bills. When you've used 80% of your messages, API responses include a usage warning so you can plan ahead.
Do unused messages roll over?
No. Each paid period starts with your plan's full message allowance, and unused messages expire at the end of the period.
How can I pay?
By card through Stripe, by Mobile Money (charged in XAF) through Fapshi, or in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. Card plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. Mobile Money and crypto payments buy one prepaid month at a time, and you can top up with another month of the same plan while one is running.
When is my payment confirmed?
Only when the payment provider sends us a verified confirmation. Coming back from the checkout page does not activate anything by itself, so a payment that is still processing shows as pending until it clears.
What does a Mobile Money quote mean?
Plans are priced in US dollars. For Mobile Money we quote the amount in XAF at checkout. Quotes expire, so an unpaid Mobile Money or crypto checkout has to be started again after it lapses.
Can an agent spend money or email people on its own?
Every agent tool is labelled low, medium or high risk, and you can see the labels on each agent page. High-risk tools, such as refunds, outreach emails and purchase orders, are routed to a person on your team for approval.
How do my systems connect to an agent?
A workspace owner creates API keys in the dashboard. Your server sends messages to the agent over HTTPS with that key. We only store a hash of each key and show the full key once, so keep it somewhere safe. Revoking a key takes effect on its next request.
Can I change plans?
If you pay by card, change your plan from Billing in the dashboard. Stripe works out the difference, and messages you have already used this period still count toward the new allowance. If you pay by Mobile Money or crypto, switch to a different plan when you renew, or ask our support team to change it for you.
How do I cancel?
Card subscriptions can be cancelled from Billing in the dashboard. They stop renewing and keep working until the end of the period you have paid for, and you can change your mind before then. Mobile Money and crypto plans never renew by themselves, so they simply end when the month ends.
Who on my team can do what?
Owners manage billing, API keys, team members and agent setup. Admins can also approve or reject requests from agents. Members can see usage, use the agents, and ask our support team for help. Owners can invite people from the dashboard.
How do I get help?
Open Support in your dashboard and write to us. A person on the Haven team replies there and by email, and you can follow the conversation any time. If you do not have an account yet, use the contact page.
Is my customers' data kept separate from other businesses?
Yes. Each business's conversations, knowledge and settings are kept separate at the database level, and each agent in your workspace has its own knowledge and settings. See our privacy policy and data processing terms for the details.
